At exactly 5:30 PM IST today, the long-awaited voting process kicks off, with 4.4 million WazirX users finally getting their say. This vote, which will run from March 19 to March 28, is being called a game-changer. But for users, it’s also a stark reminder of 10 months of frustration with Zettai.
Despite repeated townhalls and endless discussions, the latest one on March 17 didn’t even mention this critical voting process. Why? Is it deliberate silence, or just another sign that user concerns are being ignored?
Once the voting wraps up on March 28, the results won’t be finalized immediately. Instead, Zettai will pass them on to a third party, with the verification process starting on April 1, 2025. From there, an independent assessor will scrutinize the votes and report back to Zettai and the scheme manager on April 8.
For users, the big question is: Why has it taken nearly a year to reach this point? After months of waiting, Zettai still hasn’t delivered anything concrete. And now, with the most crucial decision finally in motion, the lack of communication only fuels more doubt.
